Why not Travers for Music Note?
Her and Little Belle are both entered for the Alabama, but why have stablemates beat up on one another? or worse yet.. Maybe they both lose to Proud Spell?? Larry Jones split his fillies earlier in the year with Eight Belles going in the Derby and Proud Spell in The Oaks.
I think its actually a good decision. Because if Proud Spell or Another Filly beats them both it doesn't bode well for 3yo Filly year end honors. At least if Music Note got beat in the Travers and Little Belle gets beat by Proud Spell, you can still say you have the top filly(Music Note) because Music Note has beaten both.
I thought for sure Music Note was gonna go right past Proud Spell in Deep Stretch, but PS was sure game. Kinda think these fillies will avoid each other until the Breeders Cup. Just my opinion.
Well, Proud Spell did win and beat both, but Music Note was right there so I think neither one has established themselves as the TOP FILLY. STill would have loved to see Music Note in next Saturday against the boys.
